The Seven Lanterns
Sparkling and interactive, The Seven Lanterns is a photogenic light installation which draws people in through movement, touch, and changing colour. Featuring seven tactile spinning lanterns, it creates an engaging shared experience for all ages at festivals, public spaces, and outdoor celebrations, while working equally well as a standalone centrepiece.
Created by metal sculptor Leigh Dyer, with uplifting inscription by poet Inua Ellams: “Speak to the lights, the lanterns, the fires, then fly”.

The Seven Lanterns was commissioned with support from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund through Rother District Council. The installation was created to enrich local cultural activity and provide a lasting asset for community use in Rother and beyond. Hiring the installation helps 18 Hours continue delivering creative projects and free cultural events for local people.
The Ribbon Tunnel
Encouraging movement, interaction and play, the Ribbon Tunnel transforms spaces into a joyful, colour-drenched walk-through experience for all ages. Suitable for festivals, celebrations, public events and corporate settings, the Ribbon Tunnel works outdoors or indoors as a standalone attraction or entrance/exit feature, adding a memorable focal point to any event space. The installation can be illuminated for evening events.

The Ribbon Tunnel was acquired with support from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund through Bexhill Chamber of Commerce. It was developed as a creative asset for local events and community engagement in Bexhill and beyond. Hiring the installation supports 18 Hours to sustain and expand its cultural work across the region, including the free community events we deliver throughout the year.
